So, I had no idea what the heck web 2.0 was. When I tried to look up this topic, all I got were countless tools that claimed to be web 2.o. Well, which tool was it? Answer. ALL of them!
Apparently, web 1.o is what we called our flinstone's internet. It allowed up merely to look up information. Boring! I mean cool - I can look up what the difference between the Jurassic and the Cretaceous period is. But, I bet you wished you could click on the page and create your own dinasour, which could have existed then.
Web 2.0 does just that! It allows for interactivity. You are not limited to information retrieval. Instead you are able to "dive in" and engage in all aspects of the web. You can (as Dr. Smirnova so clearly explained) buy tickets online now, rather that merely looking up movie times only with 1.o. I mean I much prefer web 2.0. It makes things more colorful. You become a much more active participant on the internet.
Just be careful! You may leave dinosaur sized DiGiTaL FoOtPrInTs everywhere. And just like fossils, they can be excavated at anytime.
